Prayer Requests
From: donna carter (dmccarter@nc.rr.com) | 07/13/2010 | Please everyone pray for my future brother-in-law, Ed Armogida. He was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. He and my sister are getting married November 6th. We need the power of prayer to heal him so that he can make it to that date. Thank you! God Bless all of you! |
From: Harriett Faulkner (harriettoo@yahoo.com) | 07/13/2010 | First let's just praise the Lord. We went to the doctor today for Buddy's pre-op session. The surgeon told him that he was not going to operate on him as long as he was doing as well as he is. He sent him home, told him to resume his life, if and when he got worse then they would consider the operation, he explained that this operation would change his life drastically. Paulette reminded us coming home of the fact that people all over the world had been praying for him. I thank all of you dear, dear Emmaus friends who have prayed for us. Thank you, thank you, Praise God, Shout, and sing. Thank you again for your prayers, and continue to pray for Buddy because even
even though he does not need the surgery right now he still has stage four renal disease failure, but you keep praying, all things are possible through fervent prayer. |

Him and his wife, Jennifer, tried to take care of it themselves. Unfortunately it not work because the foot got infected with a very bad bacteria infection. He had surgery this past Monday and they had to do a skin graft to cover up the area where they operated. Please pray for him and his family for a speedy recovery. Thank you all so very much. May God Bless all of you daily. |
From: Jennifer Meinsen (bmeinsen@msn.com) | 07/02/2010 | My husband, Billy, just found out that his father, Larry Meinsen, has the first stages of colon cancer. He will be finding out this week what the treatment will be. The blessing is that Billy's parents will be traveling here next week, so we will be able to spend some time with them. |
From: Suzanne Huddleston (hymnofpromise@gmail.com) | 06/29/2010 | For those of you who are always looking for a miracle, well! Have I got one for you!!! Let me just tell you what the doctor said just before I left!
He said, (sort of quotes) "Your heart looks good. There were no blockages and you do not have CAD (Cardio Artery Disease). I'm taking you off the blood thinner I put you on while you were here. You don't need it. I'm taking you off the Plavic I put you on while you were here. You don't need it. You don't need any stints. I'm not even going to put you on a Cholesterol medication. I think if you will watch your diet and loose some weight, you'll be fine."
He went on to say, "This is the first time I have ever sent a patient home without medication. I don't think this has ever happened before. You are one lucky woman." To which I replied, "Prayers DO work!" He passed it off, but on some level, I know he heard me."
This is the same doctor who had looked at my EKG and nuclear stress test yesterday and told me he was almost positive they would be doing stints. I was in the same hospital that transported me across the street by ambulance, would only allow a Paramedic to transport me to the lab for a nuclear stress test, and would only transport me to my room in the hospital using that same Paramedic. Excuse me?! A Paramedic to take you to the lab??? The same hospital where every doctor and nurse who looked at my EKG was sure I was in dire straights.
So, I say all that to say this. Thank you, God, for the miracles You STILL perform! Thank you, my friends, for your prayers. Rest assured, prayer is the most powerful weapon we have. Thank you for the phone calls as well. Thank you for your understanding. Thank you for the peaceful feeling I was able to have because I knew you were behind me and God was on my side!
I am home and we are fine. I had a nice nap this afternoon after we got home and it sure feels good to know my heart is healthy and to be home in my own bed!
Love to all!
